Terms & Conditions

These terms apply to electrical services booked with JMB Electrical. By instructing us to carry out work, you agree to the following.

1. Quotations and estimates

Quotes are free and provided based on the information you supply. A written or verbal quotation is valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated. Final pricing may change if the scope of work changes, hidden faults are discovered, or materials costs change significantly.

2. Booking and access

You agree to provide safe, clear access to the property and the electrical areas required. We may need to isolate power for periods during the work; we will tell you in advance when this is necessary.

3. Variations

Any additional work requested after a quote has been agreed will be discussed and, where possible, priced before it is carried out.

4. Materials and parts

Materials are sourced to meet current electrical standards. Unless otherwise agreed, parts remain our responsibility until installation is complete and payment is received.

5. Payment

Payment terms will be agreed before work begins. For larger projects, staged payments may be requested. Invoices are payable within 7 days unless otherwise agreed.

6. Customer responsibilities

Please tell us about any known hazards, previous electrical work or access restrictions before we start. You are responsible for moving fragile or valuable items away from the work area.

7. Liability

We carry appropriate insurance for the work we undertake. We are not liable for pre-existing defects, damage caused by failure to follow our advice, or issues arising from work carried out by others.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
